Daniele And Dominic Sitting In The Tree!

It’s a happy ending for Big Brother alums, Daniele Donato and Dominic Briones. The couple tied the knot in a bohemian-style wedding ceremony on Jan. 19.

According to People, Donato and Briones met in 2011 while filming Big Brother 13. But she didn’t like him right away. “Truth be told, I really didn’t like him at first. I thought he was a little troublemaker. But we became friends and although I didn’t like him like that, it just grew,” Donato said. After the show’s finale, “We became inseparable” and as they got to know each other better, they “fell in love,” she said.

So how did Briones pop the question? “I took Dani on a road trip last August and we stopped at the St. Louis Zoo.” He explained, “We both love penguins, because they mate for life, so I set up a behind-the-scenes tour without her knowing. One of the zoo workers brought out two little penguins. As we were playing with them, I turned and popped the question right there. She loved it!”

When it came to planning the wedding, they strayed away from a traditional ceremony. “We wanted something that was a good reflection of who we are” and a traditional ceremony is “not exactly us,” Donato said.

She admitted, “I’m sort of a hippie girl,” and after looking at “maybe 1,000 dresses,” she found the perfect one, a vintage-style dress. “I saw the dress and immediately knew it was the one,” she said. “It’s vintage but modern with little sequins in copper.”

“[But] we had a much harder time looking for something for Dominic to wear.” In the end, he wore dark purple Gap pants with a matching plaid shirt and a cardigan. He rounded out his ensemble with an off-white bow tie and matching Converse shoes.

The couple wed at the Newland House Museum in Huntington beach, California on Saturday afternoon in front of 120 guests.

They have not planned a formal honeymoon yet but Dominic said, “I’ve always wanted to go to an airport and take the next flight to wherever it goes…That’s what we’re going to do.”

Daniele added, “I don’t care where we go for the honeymoon. All I care about is that I married my best friend, and we’re going to share our lives together. We mesh so well. We don’t like being away from each other. We love being around each other so much. That’s enough for me. I couldn’t be happier.”
